SMS Terms and Conditions

The Center of Universal Divinity (“CUD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers a text messaging program (the “Program”) to communicate with people who have asked to hear from us. Messages may include:

• Appointment and counseling session reminders and confirmations.
• Program, class, and event information and updates.
• Ministry and community announcements.
• Follow-ups related to services you have requested.

You opt in to the Program by providing your mobile phone number and expressly agreeing to receive text messages — for example, by checking the text messaging consent box on one of our forms, or by texting a keyword such as JOIN or SUBSCRIBE to our program number.

By opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder for the mobile number you provide, or that you have the account holder’s permission to enroll that number.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing, receiving, or participating in any CUD program or service.

Message frequency varies depending on your participation in our programs and the communications you request. You may receive up to 4 messages per month per program.

Message and data rates may apply to any messages we send to you and to any messages you send to us, depending on your mobile carrier and your plan. Please check with your carrier for details about your text and data plan. CUD is not responsible for any charges you incur.

You can stop receiving text messages from us at any time:

• Reply STOP to any message you receive from us.
• After you reply STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will receive no further text messages from that program.
• You may opt back in at any time by replying START, or by contacting us to update your preferences.

Please note that opting out of text messages does not remove you from other communications, such as email, and does not affect the services you are receiving.

The Program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, and Metro by T-Mobile, among others.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier’s network and coverage and is not guaranteed.

We will not sell or share your mobile phone number or your consent to receive text messages with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Your mobile information is used only to deliver the messages you have agreed to receive and to support the Program, and may be shared with our messaging service provider solely for that purpose. For details about how we handle information generally, see our Privacy Policy.

To participate in the Program you must be 18 years of age or older, be the account holder for the mobile number you provide (or have the account holder’s permission), and use a U.S. mobile number.

We may change or discontinue the Program, and we may update these terms, at any time. When we update these terms we will revise the “Last updated” date shown above.
